Insulating fish holds and refrigerated holds

For years IJtama has been applying proven insulation systems to fish holds and refrigerated holds.

Working closely with subcontractors, the entire space between woodwork and ship’s skin is filled with Polyurethane foam. Because of the foam’s expansion and precise choice of injection locations, the holds become perfectly insulated. The results always meet with clients’ satisfaction.

Insulating accommodation

Today proper insulation is extremely important in each accommodation. Bearing in mind the aspects of combustibility, sound and heat certain values are demanded.

IJtama handles the entire insulation of ships’ accommodation. The insulation used depends on the type of wall or deck. Working together with a subcontractor or on its own, insulation is applied to meet demands already in the design phase. The inspections carried out by authorities such as Scheepsvaart Inspectie and Bureau Veritas hardly ever slow down project speed.
