IJtama also counts on its long experience in assembling and delivering ships’ floors. Below are the most common options.

Subfloor

IJtama offers the following subfloor options:

Floating casting floor
• Rock wool insulation
• Wire fabric
• Low hypox mortar

Low hypox mortar
• Rock wool insulation
• Sound absorption Sonivibro 5mm
• 2 or 3 layers of mpx 18mm

Fixed wooden subfloor
• Rubber on rafters
• 2 layers of mpx fixed on rafters

A fixed wooden subfloor may also be laid onto steel without rafters, in which case wooden battens are fixed onto steel, on top of which the floor is fixed.

Floor finishing

The above subfloors can be finished in several ways:

Rubber mortar system:
• ±8mm Polyurethane bound rubber mortar
• Polyurethane scrape layer
• 2mm Polyurethane layer in colour
• Transparent mat, glossy or anti-slip lacquer

Other floors depend on the applicability on the ship (tiles, vinyl etc).
