IJtama was founded in January 1977, and has since this time focused on marine woodwork, of every type. While the core business used to target fishing vessels, services today have been extended to the whole marine market.
- Today IJtama addresses the following branches of shipping:
- Fisheries
- Tugs and push tugs
- Dredging navigation
- Inland navigation
In addition to these four main fields of activity, IJtama is also actively involved in shipping from naval vessels, crane ships and floating derricks to offshore vessels and the pleasure sector. Serving whatever floats, IJtama always makes sure it serves its clients to their fullest satisfaction.
In addition to activities onboard, IJtama also provides onshore expertise in interior application such as the manufacture of railings, stairways, wet bars and other custom-made interior items.
